Madison Reading Project welcomes Forward Fest to our book-filled literacy center, where over 150,000 books come in and out to give to children annually at no cost.
Join us for coffee and pastries from 7:30 to 8:30 AM for networking among the book buses and book stacks. Meet staff and volunteers as they tour you through the book center. See how the nonprofit is working towards its mission of providing high-quality literacy resources at no cost to children, educators, and families. At 8:30, founder Rowan Childs will share insights into why she decided to create the organization ten years ago, the community's literacy needs, and how the org has grown from an all-volunteer-led organization, to an amazing team of fifteen employees and 250 volunteers who have given out over half a million books and counting.
